C2PACleanerOn-device metadata cleaner

Privacy Policy

In this policy, C2PACleaner is referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”. Your files stay on your device. The website itself uses cookies — including for advertising — and this page explains exactly what is collected and how.

The short version

C2PACleaner is a browser-based tool. The files you open are read and cleaned on your own machine, inside the page — they are not sent to us, not copied to a server, and not written to any log we keep. We have no way to see their contents, and they disappear from memory as soon as you leave or reload the tab.

What we don't ask for

There is no account, no login, and no form. We never request your name, email or any other identifying detail to run a clean. The only thing kept between visits is a small interface preference saved in your browser's own storage — never on our side.

Server logs

As with essentially every website, the hosting layer may record routine technical entries — IP address, browser/user-agent and the time of a request — purely to keep the site secure and online. These logs are not tied to your files (which never reach the server) and are not used to profile you.

Cookies and ads

Where advertising is shown, the site may use Google AdSense, and ad partners (including Google) can set cookies to choose and measure the ads you see based on your browsing across sites.

You stay in control: clear or block cookies in your browser, turn off personalised ads at google.com/settings/ads or aboutads.info, and — in regions that require it, such as the EEA and the UK — we ask for consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

Map links

When a photo holds GPS coordinates, we may show an optional link to open them on a map. The coordinates are only ever handed to that map provider if you choose to click — nothing leaves the page beforehand.

Your rights

Because we neither collect nor sell personal data and your files never touch our servers, there is generally nothing for us to export or erase on your behalf. Any cookie or ad data is held by the third parties named above under their own policies. Questions or requests? Email [email protected]. This page is for transparency and is not legal advice.
